RELATED: Graveyard Keeper: Tips For BeginnersThe white paint in Graveyard Keeper can only be made at a certain crafting station and needs a few different ingredients. It’s not one of the first recipes the protagonist finds and only becomes important when it’s time to make the Church look better.
Uses For White Paint
The Gravekeeper is also in charge of the local place of worship, and like a proper medieval setting, the church and the churchyard are the same places. After the initial stage to tidy up the neglected graves, the Bishop not only tasks the Gravekeeper with continued improvements to the graves and now a new project, improving the Church.
Candles. It’s possible to buy these from the Bishop too, but with some beeswax, hemp rope, and white paint, they can be crafted in the Church Workbench instead. White paint is required for the Tier 3 and 4 candles, which improves the rating of the church by 2 and 3 points. Clean Paper. There are three different recipes for Clean Paper, and the one for the Paper Press requires white paint and paper glop.

The Church Cellar
Once the protagonist has access to the Church basement, they can start building study and crafting stations related to Theology and Alchemy. This isn’t only where the white paint is made but also where it’s used as an ingredient in other recipes.
The player doesn’t have to wait for the Bishop to officially open the church before they can access the basement and start building furniture, but at that point, technical knowledge will be limited. Once they progress far enough they’ll need white paint to make certain important accessories for the church.

The Alchemy Workbench
A Tier I Alchemy workstation is required to make white paint, and there are three different recipes the player can use depending on what resources they have at the time. Some of these ingredients can be purchased but most of them have to be crafted by the main character.
All of the following combinations make white paint.
White Powder and Oil. Harvest bones from corpses on the Autopsy table and grind them into a white powder. Combine that with grapeseed oil purchased from Dig, the man who lives just outside the eastern outskirts of town. Trade him some honey and he’ll sell you oil, rope, and hemp plants. Electric Powder and Water. Kill the electric orbs in the Dungeon and take the electric powder they drop. Mix it with water that’s easily obtainable from any of the nearby wells. Alcohol and Slowing Solution. The player can either brew their own alcohol or buy it from Clotho the Witch. The slowing solution can be made from Beeswax, Hops, or Fat.

How To Get White Paint
There aren’t any vendors that sell white paint and the only way to get it is to make it. The following crafting stations are required to make the base ingredients before the protagonist can use the Tier I Alchemy station to make the white paint.
Study Table. As the name implies, the Study Table is used for research purposes, and there’s already one available in the church cellar. Alchemy Mill. Grind plants, bones, and other materials into powders to be used in the making of inks and paints. Use this station to make White Powder out of bones. Hand Mixer. Use this crafting station to make slowing solutions and other liquids.
Graveyard Keeper is available on Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, iOS, and Android.
