TikToker @diga84brick, who appears to have been a guest at the wedding, posted the video earlier this week which has since been viewed over 1 million times.

“When you expected your girl at your First Look and got your Best Friend..,” reads text overlaid onto the footage.

The groom was standing on a green lawn in a grey suit with his back to the camera as a taller man approached from behind. The second man appeared to be wearing a grey suit as well, but he wore a white dress on top of it. Photographers are seen positioning themselves to capture the moment.

The man slowly places his hands on the groom’s waist waiting for him to turn around. When he finally makes the turn and sees his best friend, everyone erupts in laughter. The two then embrace in a hug.

The video was also posted on other accounts seeming to belong to the bride and groom. Based on social media, it appears the bride and groom’s names are Kate and Hunter respectively and the “best friend” in the video’s name is Corey.

Wedding photographer Caroline Lima told Bridesthat taking first look photos can be more than just a photo-op, it can also be a time for a couple to spend some “quiet time” together before the ceremony.

Some couples, though, might want to wait to see their partner for the first time during the actual ceremony. Other reasons to opt out of a “first look” photo shoot, according to Brides, can be needing to get ready earlier in the day or having to deal with “harsh” daytime lighting.

The viral video has since received over 1,000 comments with many people loving the surprise reveal.

“[T]his is the best thing [I] have ever seen,” one commenter wrote.

“The way he touches him ever so gently…” another wrote.

“[I]f my hubby’s bestie doesn’t do this [I] don’t want it,” added another TikTok user.

In a comment left from the account appearing to belong to the groom’s “best friend” Corey, he wrote: “…I didn’t realize we were going to be famous… best $40 I ever spent lol.”

Some pointed out that the tag was still visible on the dress leading one commenter to believe that the plan was to return it after the surprise.

Newsweek contacted @diga84brick, Corey, Kate and Hunter for comment.

And right before the kickoff of the 2022 wedding season, another TikToker went viral for showing how to transform a backyard into a “dream” wedding venue.

Others did not hold back how they feel about hiring strippers or exotic dancers for bachelor/bachelorette parties.

And the internet back one bride who disinvited her own mother from her wedding for a disability joke about her soon-to-be-husband.
